Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, in a viral video making the rounds on social media, was seen receiving some serious beating from some men in army uniform.
The unfortunate incident took place in Onitsha, Anambra State.
It was gathered from reliable sources that the incident took place around Relief Market, opposite Lagos park (Chisco park) in Onitsha.
In the video, the uniformed officers could be seen forcefully dragging the 65-year-old actor out of a bus and putting him on the ground.
The bus which has the inscription “Chiwetalu Films”, was apparently on transit to a movie location before it was stopped by the army men.
Speaking to Smart News, an eyewitness who pleaded anonymity stated that the actor was arrested by the army for wearing a shirt with Biafra inscription on it.
He concluded by saying that Chiwetalu Agu has been dragged to an army barracks nearby.
When asked if Chiwetalu Agu’s status and personality was not known by the army men, the source gave a noncommittal answer.
He told us that Anambra state has been a hot bed for sometime, and the Nigerian army are out to quell the incessant killings, kidnappings, and assasinations suspected to be carried out by Independent People Of Biafra(IPOB).
