Bar Joy Andrew Igwe, a legal luminary, wife, and mother of 3 has taken to social media to share how she ended up marrying a man she initially used to address as uncle.
In her hilarious comment on a post made by a renowned lawyer and human rights activist; barr Azubuike Ihemeje Esq, Mrs Igwe said she used to address the man she later married as uncle, and had no inkling he will later become her husband.
Below is the comment:
“That was how one Mr Andrew Igwe introduced himself on Facebook that he was one of my relatives, I told my father and he said he’s from my village. I gave uncle my number and he started calling me.
“Uncle said he had a matter and he wanted to see me in person in my office, I booked him for consultation. Uncle came and I introduced him to my Principal and colleagues as my “uncle”.
“Uncle said we should do lunch, I accepted and tagged my friends along on his permission. I even introduced him to my friends as my uncle.
“Two months later, uncle said he wanted to advise me as an elder brother. Uncle said I should forget about traveling abroad for masters, uncle said Nigerian women over there are crying because no man to marry them because of their qualifications. Uncle said I should be planning to get married instead of traveling abroad for Masters. I told uncle that man had not come. Boom! Uncle said I want to marry you. (By then I was already loving uncle as my bloodline).
“I said, taaaaah Abomination!!!! Are you not my uncle again? Uncle replied; I’m not that kind of uncle… I’m only your village uncle. I kept telling uncle that I was only seeing him as my big brother and not a lover.
“7 years later, I’m now the mother of uncle’s children and uncle’s wife. This life sha!”
