Former American President, Donald Trump, on Monday night showed his support and endorsement for Glenn Youngkin’s campaign for governor of Virginia.
According to recent reports by NBC news, Donald Trump has made several talks, emphasising great relationship with Youngkin, even as the later doesn’t seem too eager to do same, probably owing to Trump’s unpopularity.
In a brief 11 minute phone call, Trump was heard telling voters that the Republican is a “fantastic guy” who will “do a job like nobody can do.”
In Tuesday’s election, Youngkin, a Republican is set to face Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat and the commonwealth’s former governor who is seeking a return to the job.
Millions of Americans and the world at large were surprised by the warmness in Trump’s voice as he spoke about Glenn. Although there really isn’t much evidence to prove that these two are close, yet Trump spoke as if he and Youngkin are longtime pals.
“I’ve gotten to know him so well and our relationship is great,” Trump told listeners.
“The fake news media would like to say something else, because they’d like our big, giant, beautiful base like there’s never been before to not vote as much as they’re going to. We have a great relationship and he’s a fantastic guy.”
Remember that Trump lost his popularity owing to his stand on some controversial issues of National interest, and the present President of the United States, Joe Biden didn’t waste much time in overturning some of Trump’s policies, including immigration policies for Nigeria and other countries.
