As expectations heighten ahead of tomorrow State Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, a strongman of the party in the Orashi region, Prince Kelvin Ekelechukwu Umejuru has reacted to recent reports of members leaving the party to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Umejuru while speaking to reporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa after a trip to Abuja, said APC has no room for those he described as spent forces.
Stressing that APC is not what he described as a ‘dumping ground’, the company executive however said the development was ‘healthy and a good riddance to bad rubbish’.
Re-echoing that APC is for progressively-minded people, the award-winning CEO of EN Global Nigeria Limited went proverbial, saying “When a thing has outlived it’s usefulness, nature has a way of blowng it away”.
His words, “When you are in a party like APC, you are expected to be proactive and contribute your own quota to it’s advancement. It’s a Progressives party, meaning that you should add value to it.
“But when you are spent and begins to do eye service, looking at the party as Father Christmas, and waiting for free money; when the free money doesn’t come, the result is that you leave the party with bogus claims that you were this and that in APC”, he said.
